Why I'm building PolitiekPraat
Politics often feels distant and opaque. PolitiekPraat is my attempt to shrink that distance without smoothing over the complexity.
I was 19 when I launched PolitiekPraat. A simple WordPress theme, a few articles per week, and a strong conviction: politics should belong to everyone.
What motivated me
Too often I heard peers say 'I don't get any of it' or 'it doesn't matter anyway'. Both sentences break my heart. Politics touches everything: rent, education, climate, freedom.
Where we are now
Three years, 50,000+ monthly readers, an editorial team, and a platform that moves in real time with political news. What started as a hobby is now the work.
Politics isn't something that happens to you. It's something you do, together, day after day.
